My goal is to capture life as it really is. I will absolutely be prompting you along the way, but this won't be a "everyone say cheese and look at the camera" photo session. My approach is much more like a documentary. I'll give you some loose direction and the goal is for you to put your own spin on it so that it feels natural. When it comes to families, please expect the best kind of chaos. Kids will be kids and their personalities is what I want to capture most. Let them run the show. I promise you won't regret the results.
I'm not a magician. If you're in love, it will SHOW. If one of you doesn't want to be there, it'll show. If you're looking for beautifully candid memories, I am absolutely your girl but all parties need to be willing and excited to share an hour or so of connection together! Your only job is to truly be yourselves. Be affectionate and be relaxed. Let yourselves embody softness, connection and love. Our time together will be as relaxed as you're willing to let it be!
"I am blown away by your talent and I will forever cherish these. It had been years since we had a good shoot like this and my heart was yearning to capture the kids exactly as you did."
- Michelle R.
"To have these every day/candid moments so beautifully documented ~ ahhh. We are so grateful. "
-Lauren B.
"I just wanted a dreamy photoshoot and she made the magic happen.

"We will 100% be booking Colleen for any of our future photo needs without a doubt. She's got lifelong customers in us!"
-Sarah & Nate
"She captures in the moment photos, which with a child is so nice, because you don’t have to stress about posed pictures not turning out.
She has a keen eye for some of the sweetest moments."

"She surely knows how to capture photos that tell a story and express emotion. This review truly does not speak nearly as many words as her photos do as they are proof how wonderful she is."

Let's go through a timeline breakdown.
You'll click the button below to submit an inquiry. I will respond to you within 48 hours to get some more details and send you my location guide.
Once we decide on where you'd like your session to take place, I'll be sending you a questionnaire to get to know you a little better! After that, a signed contract and retainer are all that's needed to secure your date and time (your balance is due one week prior to your session). I also like to request a mood board from clients to make sure that we're all on the same page with the vibe of your photos!
You'll also receive an in-depth welcome guide from me with all kinds of helpful tips and style assistance! You'll have the option to set up a connection call if you'd like to discuss our session in person, but this is optional.
Then, we'll meet up at our location and get to know each other a little before I start shooting away. I'll go over what I'd like you to do and what you can expect from me. I'll be shooting in between prompts and on our way to different locations (that's when I get the really good stuff). Please prepare for a super casual photoshoot, because I prefer to have a good time with you guys. It'll last around 45min to an hour.
Fast forward, your final payment is due and that means your session is quickly approaching! (7 days prior)
You'll get a sneak peek within 48 hours and the rest of your photos back within 3 weeks. Film photo scans are usually delivered within a week.

If you choose the 35mm film add-on, I will always shoot in both digital AND film. There is some risk in film, so I like to back it up by shooting digital too. It is rare, but the film may be bad, the lighting might not work out for film, who knows. My generalized anxiety just won't let me shoot in only film. You'll receive your film photos digitally as well. I have them developed & scanned by a third party company, so you won't receive prints unless you order them from your gallery.
